What started out as a spontaneous whim quickly developed into a deep passion.<\/p>\n<p>He has now been active as a collector for 30 years, now also working commercially, and passes on many of his finds &#8211; always restored beforehand with great attention to detail. His interest has long since expanded to include a broader spectrum of industrial design.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1899 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/northernlights-sylt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1600x1143_Schild-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1600\" height=\"1143\" srcset=\"https:\/\/northernlights-sylt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1600x1143_Schild-1.jpg 1600w, https:\/\/northernlights-sylt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1600x1143_Schild-1-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/northernlights-sylt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1600x1143_Schild-1-1024x732.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/northernlights-sylt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1600x1143_Schild-1-768x549.jpg 768w, https:\/\/northernlights-sylt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1600x1143_Schild-1-1536x1097.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/northernlights-sylt.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/1600x1143_Schild-1-350x250.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1600px) 100vw, 1600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He attaches particular importance to rescuing historical cultural assets: old petrol pumps, neon signs, headlights and even complete petrol station installations. He has already set up historic petrol stations several times &#8211; in close cooperation with open-air museums, equipped with everything that goes with them, apart from the building itself.<\/p>\n<p>For the exhibition in the Northern Lights Concept Store, Schumann selected originals that perfectly match the style and lifestyle of the island. Each exhibit is unique.
